Recipe by Arlene Wang
Bananas - 2 to 3 medium size, ripe
White Sugar - 1 cup
Unsalted butter - ½ cup or one stick melted (can also use salted butter and remove salt from recipe)
Eggs - 2
Sour cream - ½ cup
Vanilla Extract - 1 tsp
Baking Soda - 1 tsp
Salt - ½ tsp
All-Purpose Flour - 1 ½ cups
Optional - ½ cup chocolate chips, walnuts, or pecans
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Stir together the melted butter and sugar, sour cream, eggs and vanilla - mix well. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt, stir into the butter mixture until smooth.
Finally, fold in chocolate chips, walnuts, or pecans. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean. Cool loaf in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to completely cool.
